Wedding : Telur

Do you have telur (eggs) during your wedding or going to be wedding?

If no, why?

Why wont you have eggs for your wedding?
Do you know what eggs means in wedding?

Am not a big fan of egg. Am a big fan of chicken. Tapi, I know that EGG play a big role in wedding.

I think the 'wedding phonemena' without eggs as gift for the guests started around 10 years ago. Time tu, if you attended wedding reception anak-anak Dato, Tan Sri sume, memang diaorg dah tak bagi telur. They start giving out the potpouri as a gift for the guests. Letak cantik-cantik dalam bekas kristal.

But still, they still had the telur. Only for the merenjis. Okay la tu kan daripada takde.

And now, most of the wedding I've attended, it's v v v rare to get telur.
Most of them giving out candy. Or flower. Or spoon n knife. Or lots more la. Banyak jual kat Nilai 3 tu haa. Even some of them, giving out thingy like their wedding photo, fridge magnet which stated their name and date of wedding, a Yassin wif in front of it the initial letter of their names and put all of it in a v cantik paperbag. Sah-sah tempah kat Indonesia la tu kan. Murah dan cantik.

Yes, I know. Zaman berubah. Buat pe nak bagi telur. Lagipun, that's their wedding. What the heck am being sibuk? That's why am asking, do you really know what telur role in wedding?

It's been Malay tradition to give out egg as a gift. Now egg is not the main gift anymore. People prefer to give out candy or choc or anything else. They forget the eggs..

My mak said :
Telur tu lambang anak (new generation)

Yes, Malay. Full of adat resam. If we can follow all the merisik, tunang, nikah all that, bagi cincin sebagai tanda hak milik orang, why not included the eggs? Maybe only for the merenjis, at least, ok la kan daripada takde.

It's a symbol for a newly wedding. So that their new lives will fill with eggs anak-anak. Siapa yang tak nak anak kan?

Tapi ingat, bilangan telur bagi time reception tu takde kena-mengena dengan bilangan anak!

Oh.. Kecik, nanti wedding, telur is a must ye! If my future daughter-in-law taknak, takpe, tu her side. Neh our side. Cess.. Lum pepe dah berangan! He..

Furthermore, majlis kahwin and bunga telur really gets along together
