Kids and whats not
04:22:00everything looks funny. Sungguh. Seems like nothing to worry about
except spider might bite your punggung.
Eh. Itu budak bertuah je. I kan ada ramaiiiii anak saudara. Few
stories about them. Dulu, masa Atha (Abg Isa's 2nd child) was born, at
that time Bila (Abg Isa 1st child) only one year plus. Atha was born
on Christmas. Sebab tu nama lebih kurang macam Hari Natal. And she was
soooo putih and gebu. Tapi poor baby! Lahir-lahir je penuh wayar
keluar masuk her body. Soon, dah balik rumah, her elder sister, Bila,
carry this little Atha letak dalam bakul baby! Bila claims that her
adik was crying. As a sister, she's try to comfort her. Nasib baikkkk
tak jatuh. To her, that's the right thing to do at that time. Her mama
wasn't around and as kakak, kena jaga adik. Bagus sungguh!
You see, am from Besut. So, we're using the Kelantanese dialek.
Terengganungg tu tak masuk list. And being the only nieces at that
time, bila balik kampung, mesti ada perangai pelik my two nieces, Bila
and Atha tu buat.
Atha nak tiru her tok (my mak) speaking Kelate. Tapi kitaorg bukan
pure Kelate. Itu if pure, gua pun tak faham. So, she asked my mak..
: Tok, kalau ikan tu jadi apa?
: Ikan tu jadi ikaey
: Ooo.. Kalau macam tu, basikal tu, basikaeyy la ye tok?
Hahaha. Hancur sungguh! Basikal jadi basika ye. Tak ada 'L'.
And am must say, my anak saudara semua macam faham what their parents
talking about to each other. Ikhwan (Din's 1st child) lagi best. I
tanya,
: Ikhwan nak makan?
: Tak seyy. Tak seyyy.
Do you know what 'tak seyy' mean?
It's a mix from tak nak and dok seyy. Which means don't want. Campur
the kl words with kelate words. Pelik-pelik sungguh budak neh. Itu
belum lagi, during my wedding day, everyone makan nasi, tapi, he's
looking for paha ayam, and cicah with air kosong, lepas tu makan.
Boleh? Bolehhhh?
Anak teruna lagi besttt.
Am not using the Kelate words at home or any other places. I mean,
with the husband, guna standard lah kan. And with the kecik, we're
practising, OPOL. One parent, one language. Seoarang cakap Melayu
dengan the kecik, seorang lagi English. And it's must be standard
words. No problemo there.. Except, one fine day, I've asking the kecik
to look for something, after a while, the kecik came back to me and
said,
: Mommy, tak dok. Tak dok, mommy. Tak dok.
Sambil buat sign tangan yang barang dicari tak ada. Tak dok means tak
ada. Itu kelate juga. The weird thing is I never speak kelate with the
kecik. And where's did he get that? The right word for the right
thing. Amazed sungguh!
Kadang-kadang bila the kecik duk colour atas meja, I dengar anak
teruna ni pot pet. Most of it sounds gibberish for the first time
you've heard. Once dengar betul, you akan dengar anak teruna I cakap
apa. Sendiri tanya, sendiri jawab.
: Mommy, tok? Tok? Oo.. Ampung. Ampung aja. Okki? Okki? Okki asjid.
Allahuakhbar! Kakak? Kakak? Kakak ampung. Ampung aja. Ama. Ama alang.
Alang gemuk. Hahaha. Abang? Abang? Abang school. Ain. Ain ola. Ain ola
abang. Mommy. Didddiee. Ofii. Ofii aler.
Siapa boleh terjemahhh? Hahaha.
Lemme.
'Mommy, tok? Tok? Oo.. Kampung. Kampung raja. Tokki? Tokki? Tokki
masjid. Allahuakhbar (solat) kakak? Kakak? Kakak kampung. Kampung
raja. Sama. Sama dengan Alang. Alang gemuk. Hahaha (ini I ajar,
hahahaha, padan muka cik esahh, selalu cakap I itam, huh). Abang?
Abang? Abang school. Main. Main bola dengan abang. Mommy, daddy, ofi
(his name, still can't pronounce properly). Ofi. Ofi colours.
Itu belum lagi campur main toys. Siap terbang-terbang, lawan, tidur
ajak sekali. Selimutkan sekali. Mandikan. Tiap kali mandi, tiap kali
tu laa bawa toys mandi. Different toys at different times. Dah mandi,
I pakaikan the kecik bedak and toys tu pun I kena pakaikan bedak
sekali. Pakai yu yee, toys tu pun kena letak yu yee juga. And anak
teruna will comb the toys hair (even toy tu truck, budak bertuah ni
akan sikat juga kepala truck tu). So much fun ye?
Nanti kita masuk bab, tantrum pula. Hahahaa
